Plants raised from these trays grow faster and are more healthier than their counterparts sown directly in the soil based nursery bed. There is also no or limited transplanting shock since each seedling is moved with a ball of media on its roots without damaging the roots.
Advantages: These trays are easy to clean and used season after season, water reaches the bottom easily and have drainage holes at the bottom to prevent roots from rotting as a result of too much water.
